Q. Can I use Aquasteel on stainless steel?
A It can be used on rusted stainless steel, but if you use on stainless steel that isn’t rusted it wont form such a good bond with the steel as the rusted steel.

A. It can be used on rusted cast iron, but if you use on stainless steel that isn’t rusted it wont form such a good bond with the steel as the rusted steel..
Q. Can I use Aquasteel on top of paint?
A. It won’t cause any issues if you get some on the painted surface by mistake and you can then paint over it with your normal paint.
Q. Can I paint onto new steel?
A. You can but the product wont bond as well as it would with rusted surfaces. If you have new steel it would be best to use a primer and topcoat of paint. You can also “flash rust” the steel by spraying with clean fresh water and leaving to form a new rust layer before applying the Aquasteel.
Q. I’ve had my Aquasteel for 3 years, will it still be okay to use.
A. It depends on temperature where it has been stored. Needs ambient temperature. Extreme temperatures will affect the formulation of the product. It also depends if the container has remained capped or if it has been used. We give a one year life on the product but it can be fine after 2 years + if looked after. Its best to try it on a test area first.
Q. Can I return my Aquasteel as I don’t need it?
Yes it can be returned for a refund or replacement/exchange within 30 days of delivery as long as the goods are in original and unused condition, unopened. Return is at the customer’s cost.
Q. Is it water washable?
A. Yes, so if you wash your brush immediately it will still be perfect.
Q. Can I spray this product?
A. Key Application Details for Spraying Aquasteel: Consistency: The product is thin (milk-like), making it suitable for spraying. Method: Airless spray is recommended, using a 14–21 thou tip size and 30:1 pump.
Q. What are the temperature restrictions for use of Aquasteel?
A. Conditions: Do not apply to metal at or below the dew point, or above 40°C
